Wow what a hot day at Irwindale Speedway. Our first double header for the season.
Car was great in practice but at the drivers meeting they told us our cars were going to be impounded after qualifying. First time ever. So Ozman Motorsports had to make a made dash back to the pits and change up their game plan. With that being said, we were able to pull off an P2 in qualifying. With Rotundo Racing spinning a 4 on the inversion wheel we were starting the first race in P12.
With the setup up changes and our first race being run in the midday high heat, the track was slick. I couldn’t get the car under me and over drove it. Some how we were able pull off a P2 finish. With Rotundo spinning a 6 on the inversion wheel for race 2, we started in P14.
With the cooler weather we were able to get the car where it likes to be. When the night was done and a hot 30 laps later we finished in P1. Thanks to all of our sponsors and their Great support.
